Workplace
Diversity at Work:
Are You Accessing its Power?
Employees learn
skills and concepts that improve their effectiveness in a
multicultural work environment. They discover how their
perceptions, attitudes and behaviors may impact their performance in
the workplace and learn the importance of making their workplace a
safe and inclusive place for all people.
See America's Advantage:
Diversity at Work brochure for more information.

Diversity at
Work: Diversity and Inclusion at Work for Educators
Understanding how our own
stereotypes impact our work with students are key elements of the
educator program. CCEJ provides an environment in which the
program belongs to the participants as they learn from each other
regarding the issue of how to address sensitive and personal issues
relevant to the classroom and their work environment. The
participants discover how their perceptions, attitudes and behavior
may impact their personal and professional relationships.
Institute for Educational Equity
The Institute for Educational
Equity meets at the intersection of institutionalized bias and
educational equity. It provides training to the education
community using race conscious approaches to closing the achievement
gap in schools. This program is in partnership with the
Institute for Democratic Renewal and
Project
Change. For more information, contact Rene
Castro at (562) 435-8184.

The Business Case for Diversity
and Inclusion: Now More than Ever
Today, more
than ever, it is important to demonstrate that the southern
California community is a business environment where differences
are not just tolerated but valued.
Employees
can no longer assume that the person sitting at the next
workstation or in the office down the hall has the same
cultural experiences, religious tradition, or even observes
the same holidays.
The future
success of businesses and corporations may very well hinge on
the commitment they make to diversity today. In fact, by
the year 2005, people of color, immigrants, and women will
make up 62% of people entering the workforce.
CCEJ
provides comprehensive human relations and diversity training
through workplace programs. Contact Rene Castro at (562)
435-8184 for further information.
