Heart 2 Heart: Southern California Racial Justice Dialogue Institute Information Sessions

For more than 55 years, the California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ) has worked to end discrimination, oppression and injustice in Southern California.  CCEJ is known throughout Southern California as a leader in advancing social change through innovative education, trainings and dialogue.

Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) is funded and created by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation as a comprehensive, national, and community-based process to address and dismantle the historical and contemporary effects of systemic racism and to advance racial justice.  TRHT- LA was selected alongside 13 other places across the U.S. to bring about meaningful and long term change in both individuals and larger systems.  We aim to do this by addressing the Truth of our nation’s history, working towards Racial Healing through conversations and relationship building, and ultimately aiming for personal and systematic Transformation.

TRHT-LA partnered with CCEJ in 2018 to advance each of the pillars of TRHT, most specifically Racial Healing through community dialogue.  In 2019, CCEJ and TRHT-LA launched the first Heart to Heart: Southern California Racial Justice Dialogue Institute to train participants to hold racial justice dialogues, successfully graduating 39 facilitators.

As we prepare for our second cohort of Heart to Heart, we thank you for considering the Heart to Heart (H2H): Southern California Racial Justice Dialogue Institute as part of your facilitation journey. This program is intended for participants who have had some experience with Racial Justice work and who would like to deepen their facilitation skills in these specific dialogues.
