The California Conference for Equality and Justice has a proven track record in providing comprehensive Restorative Justice training for educators. In 2018, we trained over 2,400 teachers and administrators at more than 30 schools in Southern California. All educators in all roles are welcome at our trainings.

What is Restorative Justice?
Restorative Justice uses the tool of dialogue in circles to build community, prevent conflict and respond to disciplinary incidents. Restorative Justice is rooted in a culture shift away from zero-tolerance policies and disproportionately punitive disciplinary models.

What can I expect at this workshop?
Come experience an interactive online introduction to Restorative Justice! In this 2-hour session, you will learn about the foundations of the work, and experience a virtual Restorative Justice Circle. This workshop is designed for people interested in learning more about restorative practices, or who want a refresher on the guiding values of the work.

All of our current training offerings are currently virtual using a Zoom platform. Participants in this workshop can expect content via slides, group dialogues and interactions using the chat and breakout room features.

Sessions:

  • Tuesday, October 6, 2020, 1:00-3:00 pm (PST)
  • Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 3:00-5:00 pm (PST)

Training Cost: $50
