The California Conference for Equality and Justice has a proven track record in providing comprehensive Restorative Justice training for educators. In 2018, we trained over 2,400 teachers and administrators at more than 30 schools in Southern California. All educators in all roles are welcome at our trainings.
What can I expect at this workshop?
This training introduces participants to basic trauma theory and the embodied effects of traumagenetic experiences while providing opportunities to connect with personal and collective resiliency practices. Participants explore key principles fundamental to a trauma informed approach and engage Restorative Practices, including Circles, as a trauma sensitive modality. This training includes self-reflection, story-telling, and concept presentations. This workshop is recommended for participants with basic familiarity with Circle experience.
All of our current training offerings are currently virtual using a Zoom platform. Participants in this workshop can expect content via slides, group dialogues and interactions using the chat and breakout room features.
