Interested in becoming a Youth Leader? Join us at SYLI!

Building Bridges for Youth’s Summer Youth Leadership Institute (SYLI) is a unique program that helps empower and provide tools for students to become Youth Leaders. This year, SYLI will be completed online. This program focuses on developing facilitation skills, dialogue immersions, and deeper exploration of historical and contemporary forms of oppression and movements for justice. Students should be capable of participating in activities and dialogue that challenges them to discuss their attitudes and experiences about prejudice, bigotry, racism and other forms of discrimination. Students should be able to be on Zoom for the whole program, and share their camera in order to build community with fellow campers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must have attended a Building Bridges Camp
  • Applicants must be in high school for the 2021-2022 school year
  • Must attend SYLI Interview and all SYLI sessions
