Dear friend,

It is hard to believe another year of masks and Zoom calls have filled our days, but it’s not hard to believe the impact the CCEJ has had on the 5,000 people we engaged with this past year to eliminate bias, bigotry and racism.  Our journey through 2021 involved recommitting ourselves to CCEJ’s core value: individual transformation is possible and is necessary if we are going to reimagine a better world. CCEJ’s Restorative Justice values keep my faith in people and societal transformation strong and grounded every day.

As you know, this work is not easy, so staying anchored in our values is key to the team’s success.  I invite you to read our values with the hope that you too, will be inspired to contribute to creating a world where equity and justice is the norm.

  • Individuals impact the community.
  • People transform through experience, not by being told.
  • All humans need to be seen, heard, and understood.
  • Individual and group transformation is always possible.

In 2022, I hope you will join CCEJ’s work in any way you feel compelled – becoming a volunteer facilitator, camp staff, sharing your perspective with me, or by donating any amount that is significant to you.  We seek to raise $10,000 by December 31st, which will help us re-open our doors safely to the public in January.  To support CCEJ, you can mail a check in the enclosed envelope, donate online at www.cacej.org/donate, or name CCEJ a beneficiary of your donor-advised fund or required minimum IRA distribution.  I am always happy and available to connect with you at rhcarroll@cacej.org.

We are grateful for any contributions you can make to support the mission and vision of CCEJ!

Sending you the warmest wishes for the holiday season,

Reena Hajat Carroll, MSW

Executive Director
