OPERATIONS MANAGER (she/her/hers)

Lauren Snook is the Operations Manager for CCEJ. She was born and raised in Southern California and earned her BA in History and Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science from California State University, Long Beach in 2010 and 2012, respectively. Her passion for History and Social Sciences has always been deeply rooted in examining systems of power, gender & socio-economic inequity, and the promotion of critical thinking.

While pursuing a career in education, Lauren was also a dance teacher, cheer & dance camp leader, and choreographer for multiple studios, schools, and programs throughout southern California and abroad. Her love of dance brought her into the nonprofit world, and she served as the Education & Rehearsal Director for 501c3 dance & education nonprofit Culture Shock Los Angeles for 9 years. Her experience working for organizations like the United Spirit Association, Opportunities for Learning Charter Schools, Teacher Created Materials, and Dreams for Schools has helped to channel her passion for education into the Operations field, where she can provide behind-the-scenes support to help organizations operate at the best possible capacity.

Lauren is grateful to be joining the CCEJ team to help support the incredible and vital work of her colleagues, and promote social justice and equity in her community.
