Dear CCEJ friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to announce that our Executive Director, Kimmy Maniquis will be leaving her position in mid-July.  Kimmy will be taking on the role of Executive Director of the Los Angeles office for Peer Health Exchange.

Kimmy has been with CCEJ since 2008, and has served as Executive Director since 2017.  During her time with CCEJ, she has led youth flagship programs including Talking in Class and Building Bridges Camp.  As Executive Director, she has led the growth of CCEJ’s restorative justice services, advocated for reducing mass incarceration of youth, and expanded CCEJ’s partnerships into new geographic areas across California.

Daniel Solis, Associate Executive Director and Jessy Needham, Director of Development, will share interim Executive Director duties while our Board conducts recruitment of the next Executive Director.  Daniel and Jessy have a combined 30 years of experience in nonprofit management, youth, education and social justice programming, fund development, and strategic planning.

We thank Kimmy for her many years of service and dedication to CCEJ. We also thank you, our supporters, for your ongoing commitment to CCEJ’s work during this time of transition.

We look forward to engaging with the community to select our new leader, while continuing to expand our transformative and healing programs.
Best,

Rosecarrie Brooks
Chair, CCEJ Board of Directors
Rabbi Howard Laibson
Chair-Elect, CCEJ Board of Directors
