Over 4 sessions, participants will explore what Christian Nationalism is and how it affects individuals, relationships, communities, and organizations in the United States. Participants will deepen their understanding of religion and spirituality as complex parts of people's identities by sharing and listening to each other's stories and experiences.
Starting with Christian Nationalism's historical roots, participants will discuss how this system creates explicit and implicit norms for how people express themselves, relate to each other, and are valued in society. This series explores the complexities of lslamophobia and Anti-Semitism to understand how they are rooted in Christian Nationalism, and lead to the dehumanization of Muslim Americans and Jewish Americans. Lastly, participants will explore what Solidarity can look like across differences in religious identities to build united communities that challenge Christian Nationalism.
