Youth Leadership Coordinator (she/hers)

Trisha Herrera is a passionate community advocate, artist, and educator from East/Northeast Los Angeles. Her work lives at the intersection of youth empowerment, social justice, and community building. As a queer multiracial woman with degrees in sociology and critical race & ethnic studies from UC Santa Cruz, she brings both a deep understanding of systemic issues and a strong commitment to racial equity, queer liberation, and community well-being.

Throughout her career, Trisha has led initiatives that support LGBTQ+ youth, engage students in environmental justice, and provide resources to underserved communities. She thrives in roles that allow her to build meaningful relationships, design impactful programs, and create safe spaces for learning, healing, and growth, as she is driven by a belief in the power of youth and collective action.

Trisha will soon begin her Master of Arts in Educational Foundations at Cal State Los Angeles, a step she’s taking to further her impact as an educator and leader. Outside of her work, you can find her exploring nature, creating art, watching comfort movies, and spending time with loved ones.
