Building Bridges Leadership Academy

The Building Bridges Leadership Academy (BBLA) is a training program designed for young adults (18+) and adult allies interested in working with youth to build a more just and inclusive world. Young adults interested in becoming Youth Mentors must attend this program to be eligible to return to Building Bridges camp. BBLA provides participants with knowledge and skills to support youth empowerment and leadership as well as serve as an initial step to volunteer opportunities with CCEJ's Building Bridges for Youth including Building Bridges Camps and Conscious Classrooms.

Participants can expect:

  • Exploration of oppression and social justice, including topics specific to racial justice and gender justice.

  • Dialogue and facilitation practice

  • Interactive learning

  • Resources and reference materials

  • Overview of CCEJ’s Building Bridges for Youth program and volunteer opportunities.

The next BBLA training will take place in the summer of 2024.
